The Venue: Walter E. Washington Convention Center

The convention center sits in the Mount Vernon Square neighbourhood of downtown DC. It's one of the largest convention centres in the US and directly served by the Metro.

What's nearby:

  • Mt Vernon Sq/7th St-Convention Center Metro — directly adjacent. Yellow and Green lines
  • CityCenter DC — 10-minute walk. Upscale shopping and dining
  • Chinatown / Penn Quarter — 5-minute walk south. Restaurants, bars, and Capital One Arena

Where to Stay

Everything is walkable from the convention center. DC hotels are pricier than most HYROX cities, but the convenience of staying downtown is worth it — no transport needed on race day. Labor Day weekend rates can vary, so book early.

We've picked four hotels within a 6-minute walk of the venue, covering premium to budget. All have fitness centres and easy access to the Metro.
